scotia riding, dynamo action

ok, in Lemont PA now, big house, computer room has view of hill where roadies climb all day. Yesterday I was riding my witcomb back from blockbuster (scant 2 mile round trip) and a guy on a cannondale slowly ie nicely took me over, and say hello, and was nice and we chatted, then I chased him up a hill, and it was nice. The absolute first cat on a cannondale i havnt wanted to deck. Things are looking up. Mel and I went for a Mtn ride this morning, very flat but nicely groomed trails with the occasional cool woop or twisty bit. She loved it. You could ride a fixed cross bike there, no worries. I spent 3 hours hooking up my busch and muller dynamo, with stand light and tail light, looks fairly clean. I’ll post pics of that and the ride we took. Look, I’m away now, this is a good way to communicate interesting shit or pertinent events or nudie pics or whatever, so post some stuff. If you just wanna post links, at least say what you liked about em.

Generator lighting. Mmmmmm. Nice. When I go there it will be with a hub generator. Just have to decide if it is worth it to go with the expensive schmidt instead of the cheaper shimano for the amount of night riding I do.

i looked at hub generators, and for theyre weight and price it didnt seem as practical. i already have two wheels built with xl14 spokes, old silver polished xt hubs, and araya 390 rims, so to build a matching front wheel would have set me back at least 50 for new spokes, and probally 50 for a rim, if i could find one, as they arnt made anymore, and nothing else is remotely close, style wise. i would say go shimano hub if they let you hook up any old light, cause the busch headlights are very nice with the stand light, and look much classier than the future styles of the shimano. the schmit is hot…but alot of cheddar…
I think that the busch tire generator is good for few reasons: one its not as pricey, two is its lighter to start with, and there is alot you could shave on it, mounting bracket wise, and still have it be over built, and when its not engaged, its not causing any drag.
