15″ crotch
Those of you who know James have realized by now that he’s been reincarnated. His previous life began somewhere around 1901. I try to cater to this old man trapped in a young man’s body when I can. The other day I found some old timey ranger pants at a surplus store. He really liked them so he got another pair of hand-me-down Ranger Rick pants specifically to alter for bike riding. We converted this pair into knickers. The pants are like 60 years old so sewing them kicked up some nice nose tickling fibers. These snapshots depict the oh-so-hip pants. Aren’t they so “now”, so haute? They’re practically the new black, or the new coffee.

The pants sit just below the nipples. Keeps the beer in the belly warm.

Features: Four pockets. Adjustable knee area. Metal buttons. Button fly and, it’s about 15″ long. Added elastic in the waist for some give when you’re actually riding and not just parading around like a lunatic. Suspenders are needed. I’ll make more of these if anyone is interested. Don’t want to wear suspenders with pants up to your man boobs? That can be arranged. Colors and styles vary slightly. $75. -Mel
State College “Surge” Protest
About seventy five people showed up the other night to protest Bush’s new plan. This might not sound like a lot of people, but for State College it’s a mob. Especially because the students aren’t even back yet from winter break. Three press trucks showed up and interviewed for a good part of the hour long gathering. Many folks driving by honked their horns in support (of course they were driving Stupid Unnecessary Vehicles) and one guy mooned us.

Nice art. Reminds me of one that was at the BIKE art exhibit last year, fully crocheted, no bike inside

Hey. Those wool knickers are terrific. I need to knickerize a pair of Filson wool serge pants I thrifted a few months back. Perhaps I’ll order a pair from you at some point in the future (I too am inhabited by the spirit of my dead grandfather who only wore wool–even in the summer). Good work. LL
Thanks Lesli, I like your web site. I was so bummed when I saw your follow up comment that the british plus 4s cycling pant company was going out of business that I thought I better make a pair.
