   clearly you need to custom paint the bottle cage and the stem. it looks good, in a ten foot viewing distance kinda way.

   Yeah, well what can I say… it was done with touch-up paint from complete bikes from the shop in less than ideal paint conditions by a hand fueled by iced tea and powered by a mind overwhelmed with boredom and the presence of JASON LAMB for several hours….I know from these quality photos it’s hard to see the details I included…such as the stem spacers sporting the green, white, red colors and the multitude of paint runs and thinning layers. Despite all of that, I still like it better than the stock graphics.

   no, i was serious, i like it. i didnt see the spacers. How did you do the decals?

   I used black touch up paint in those little “nail polish” bottles that come with the BMX bikes and painted the black panels around the BIANCHI lettering. Then I taped off the stripes for the flags on the end. The white stripe is actually some of the label maker ribbon. That’s why I wrote DOPE in the two stripes of the downtube flags. That was a tribute to Jason’s nasally presence whilst doing the deed. I originally wanted to copy the panels and stripes of the Pista…but the white paint sucked so I had to do something else. I got the idea from my water bottle which has the celeste color and two black bands around the bottle in which Reparto Corse is written. The pictures totally suck, I don’t know what my digi cam was thinking…sometimes I hate the automated-ness of the camara. It always is looking at something else and not focusing on what I’m trying to photograph. I’ll get better pics tomorrow in the light of day and post them in place of these. Christine hates it by the way and has banned me from having paints around her bike.

   well, while i admire you and your DIYness, I certainly wouldnt want that done to my bike. So i kinda empathize with her. I cant believe you just painted around the letters. I couldnt do that. So when is mark going to skip the country and give you the waterford? Thats what I want to know.

   GIVE me the Waterford…? uh, never…Stacy will get three of them all custom painted and they will sit in her garage next to the other fifeteen bikes she currently owns and doesn’t EVER ride before I get the Waterford that’s currently in the shop. No hubs yet that I know of. I’ll let you know if they are in tomorrow when I work.

   Not that a new view will change anyones mind about ghetto paint jobs, but I’ve reposted better pics of my Bianchi paint scheme change.
