Fathers’ Day Ride

So Christine and I planned a fairly easy 20 miler for Fathers day and Damien joined us. It was awesome and I pulled Hutch in the trailer for the entire ride this time. It took us a little over 2 hours to complete. Check it out…

    Forgot to mention that Christine rode ahead of us for most of the ride. I told Damien that is seems she figured out how to spin the new 38 tooth front sprocket I put on to replace the stock 42 tooth that she had trouble with on the Zoo Ride 2. It was awesome to see her charging up hills ahead and then spinning off over the horizon…well, at least until Hutch started saying, “Mommy,…Mommy,….I want Mommy…I’m scared,…..too fast on the hills.” It seems my 28 mph downhills rattled the little guy a bit too much and he wasn’t stoked on that.

    Heh. My son was always the same way about speed. He likes me to keep it under 20 on the tandem. My daughter is completely different. We’ll be bombing down at above 30, and she’s like “Is that all you got!? Faster!”

    awesome. rob: i think a less ’springy’ less ghetto trailer may be in order. i dont think the burleys sproing like that, nor do the chariot side hacks. word
