A site about lugs, tan sidewalls, maybe jazz, classical, punk and bluegrass, local riding, worldly riding and people, cool cats, lame ducks, 110 bcds, wool, and smelling like hell after a long ride.

dear readers/faithful followers/casual passers-by/google clickers/people looking for genuine information and coming here, by accident, instead:

ridelugged is finally getting off its collective ass and putting together a custom wool jersey.  this wont be one of the those bs wool jerseys with elastic this and spandex 23% that, this will be 100 percent merino, and not chinese made.  we are going to sell that for exactly what they cost, which at this point will either be 75 for a flocked lettering jersey or 87 for embroidery, depending mainly on which gets the most votes.  personally, i vote embroidery, but i know it costs more, and not all of us are tight with trump.  for what its worth, the cost includes shipping the jersey to yer house, from mine, after they get here in a big box.  mel, occasional poster and stalwart wife, has two of these jerseys already, and says, quote: ‘i like them’.  a more ringing endorsement would be hard to come by, i think.  here are some color choices: orange with black sleeves, red with a black chest stripe, and two blues of varying blueness with cream chest stripes.  classy, not to loud.  i vote orange, personally.  visibility is never a bad thing.  (note: the orange isnt neon, that, friends, would be a bad thing).

this is basically what it will look like.

this post is just an intial feeler, to see who would be interested.  leave a comment if you need an affordable well made jersey that happens to have a siloutte of a lug and the words ridelugged and i’ll tell you what: we are going to put the abbreivation of  whatever state you hail from on the jersey along with the same for everyone else, ie PA-MD-SWE-CZ-PO  to make it look like we are cultured.  so in a way, it will be personalized.  this isnt some weird advertising thing.  there wont be a www or a .com on it anywhere i promise.

hopefully this doesnt flop like the plan to sell my kidneys to a malaysian wig trader.

If you can get them in wookie sizing, i’d be interested.

Put me down as interested. Orange also sounds good to me. For 12 extra bucks I’d rather have the embroidery.

I’m down for an embroidery, XL, unsure of color, I just love wool.

i’m down for one for sure. i would be for either the light blue or orange. (i’m a bigger fan of the chest stripe, though.)

if it is available in micro sizes and is made from very soft little kiwi merino lambs then i will lie to the misses about it being wool, tell her it is alpaca(she claims to scratch easily), and take two!

oh and embroidery all the way!!

cory, what the shit happened to yer bmk email? i tried to email regarding this action.

in other news: good we have enough people now, i think. the next step will be assessing delivery time.

XXL is probably wookie enough. If I’m too fat, then I’ll keep riding till it fits.

I vote for red, but I don’t object to any of the other colors.

i’ll email them today and look at turnaround time. thanks for all the interest.

I’m down for one. I like orange or blue, but prefer chest stripe over different sleeve colors, but…

Do you have some more sizing info?

  11. johnson August 2nd, 2007 7:34 am

to all: i am awaiting a reply from the guy about time. we can mix and match colors, and since this isnt some weird team jersey, you are only limited by what is in stock. once dude emails me back, we’ll figure out payment and get everyone’s addresses.

cory, mel’s jerseys are men’s mediums that she purposfully shrunk, and they fit well, so i bet the xs would fit veronika, probally without having to shrink it even.

here is the sizing info. Chest Waist Length

    S- 34.0″ 29″ 24.5″

Cool, but not in the budget. I’m not so hot on lugs lately anyway.

I don’t have a ton of cash but i’m down w/it (XL) but I will look and see to be sure. As a lug builder a C Star would look cool.
