The QB is waiting in it's box for me to ship. I suspect they'll just replace, but I don't know. You're not the only one with a frame pump, they're just a little more rare.

joe, all are welcome. thats how ya meet new people right?
house and lawn is open to sleep in/on friday before the ride and or saturday after the ride, but bring a sleeping bag and mat...

lurk away, but comment more often.

we'll have more details on the ride as it approaches, so stay posted.

also: old hpx with the aluminum housing or the new plasticy one? i got a hpx (old) at yard sale for free, and just to give zephal a fair shake against the blackburn i bought a new one too. its not that its a bad pump (the new one) its just that its not as good as the blackburn. the old one was great in a it doubles as a billy club/baseball bat/candlestick holder ugly black heavy french kinda way. curiously the old lapize pumps (still made i think) work like shit with presta valves but work great with shraeder. too bad they need dedicated pump pegs: they are very light and look the best of all...also, harris sells them for peanuts.

and at least 28mm tires, while we're at it. 32s would be perfect. and spare tubes. and a fucking frame pump why do mel and i have the only frame pumps people? they are good for waving at dogs, sticking in fast people's spokes and pumping tires with. blackburn makes the best, its worth the special order wait, even though its kinda ugly and heavy.

Christine, i think leaving the boy at home is a good idea.
this ride has some hills. read: the last ride was super flat in comparison. do some training rides up on fishing creek rd and ect. its all doable and fun, its just not an easy ride. we break for lunch, twice, not to mention photo ops and water breaks. mel is coming if you are. the poster is adapted from a miyata 80s poster, which was a japanese bike company. as everyone knows, girls didnt have short hair until 1993, so this is a historical document, not to be confused with our current state of affairs. nick is not coming back for this, he barely survived the last ramble, basically refusing to use his low gears and making his eyes pop out trying to climb it all in the big ring. speaking of which: you need low gears for this. a 26 granny and 30 big cog would be ideal.
