and did i mention i tagged a car? YOU’RE IT!!
so riding home from work the first week of August, a guy in a vw golf was double parked then decided to whip a u-turn when i was about to pass him.

anyway i decided to pull a superman. with a nice tuck and roll, i walked away. scrapes and bruises and as i later found out a broken rib. still waiting for the results of the police investigation to determine if he made a turn without looking or signaling, or if passed a turning vehicle.

i think i side with the former.
it didn’t really shake me up too bad. but killed my atmos (which did its job and cracked up well) and the poor bike.

Lugged steel bends, not breaks. I haven’t ridden it since, but got a longer axle to crown cross fork to make up for the steepened head angle (look at those nicely deformed top and down tubes.) I’ll give you a heads up on the new ride quality when I put it back on the road.
I was kinda waiting for a settlement, but we’ll see. I’ve been back on the moots for 4 weeks or so, but have yet to get back into riding everyday or so.
OK, all is well here now.
Hopefully the same wherever you are riding.
remember, keep the rubber side down!

i cant believe you havent brazed a new front triangle on that joint yet. cummon, you could put whatever top tube length you wanted on it. 67 cm and a 2cm stem, thats the new hotness.
Oh my god!!! I’m glad you’re okay-ish. I bet the person was on their cell phone. Fucking people with their fucking cell phones.
Ouch. That sucks. Glad to hear you’re OK now.
