Turkey-Belly Futures are the Futures!

I know, I know, those who shun turkey bacon are heretics, thrown out into the cold destitute wilderness of a meatless breakfast. Yet there is solace to be found in the warm sizzling frying pan of grease that is know as a real breakfast. I ran across this article and it reminded me of the long running debate over bacon.

Try doing that with turkey bacon! Johnson and I perfected this technique in vermont with a slight change. If memory serves me (which it usually doesn’t) we would fry english muffins in the bacon grease in order to make breakfast sandwiches that could raise the dead and then kill them again with a heart attack.

  1. and it was delicious. we deep fat fried the eggs in the 2 inches of grease. as i recall, there might have been sausage patties in the equation as well. i know there was egg nog and whole chocolate milk mixtures for dessert.

you know i dont hate on real bacon, i am just looking out for the cook/cleaning crew and my desire to not puke in the middle of a lap.

  2. i just dont think about turkey bacon as bacon. its a mildly favorful meat thing.
