so, joe just scored this big fat document from carrol county, and its a huge list of all their dirt roads.  they have a ton.  way more than we do here in frederick!  lets map them.  but there are a bunch, and we dont want redundancy.  so!  we need a plan to divy up the [...]

nyte ride, probally thursday night

anyone wanna join starmer and i for a noche ride in the shed thursday?  start time will be hammered out, but the pace will be ultra mellow, and we wont go too far.  unless we get lost.  entirely possible.  and eaten by that bear.

sweet baby moses and his reed basket!

corn maze somewhere in ohio….  that’s one corn maze i wouldn’t want to get lost in.
i stole this from wonkette, who stole it from someone else.

holy crap! the dirty ferry ride v. 2.0 is semi-mapped

here is a preliminary link to what might be the coolest ride you’ve never been on.
looks like rolling hills, nothing too hard.  lots of dirt.  and i shortened it, due to popular demand.  only 71 miles!  that’s shorter than the distance my grandmother used to walk to get to school.   how about it nick?

The Case of the Vicious Velocipede, Part Duece

Charm City was boiling.  My shirt stuck to my back and my shoes were filled with perspiration.  The heat from the sidewalk burned my feet.  I was wearing jeans.  I hate jeans, but sometimes you have to play the part.  T-Bone Burnett was on the record player in my head.  Sometimes the record got stuck.  [...]

bike commuting in a big city

_
So I forgot to post this yesterday.
I saw this lady riding to work (I’m guessing to the nunnery)

[ok, so it wasn’t that nun. She was in Italy of something. But it definitely was a nun. She was actually a good bit younger and kinda cute. That’s OK to say right? And she was in the [...]

riddle me this one….

how do the czechs repair an old lumpy cobble stone street in my working class neighborhood?
why, they pour gravel on it to fill the cracks, of course.
on a side note, can anyone guess how to make a hard lumpy old cobble stone road more sketchy to ride on a bike?
just guess…
