tinker bell is back! and with a vengance.  the dirty sugar ferry ride that took place last year with snow, freezing winds, vengeful ice covered roads, and harrowing brakeless decents is back!  but it wont be nearly as cold.  just pretty cold.  and longer.  and dirtier.  cause pavement made some good albums, but it’s no fun to ride on.  so!  70ish miles.  say 40 will be dirt.  to keep it a one day ride, we’ll drive to poolesville, and leave from there.  we’ll head down to VA via the ferry, back over via the C&O.  we’ll loop around sugar loaf, and head back on down.  it will take all friggin day.  let me repeat that.  all friggin day.  much of the evening.  there will be 17 flats, 14 of which rob will get.  there will a few places to get grub, but still: flasks, pack in a sandwich or 4, bring spare clothing, blinky lights,  spare batteries, headlights, bright clothing or something that wont make you get wacked.  you will be riding home in the dark.  no question.  last years ride ended in the dark, and it was 20 miles shorter!  and it wasnt kinda dark dark it was where is my hand that i am waving in front of my face dark.

anywho:  its gunna be october 26th, a sunday, so gary can make it.  also, there is trail work at the shed the day before, so this seems best all around.  meet at 5 east 7th st, Frederick at say…… 8.  i know its early but we need all the time we can muster.  from there, we’ll car pool to poolesville, no pun intended, and try to be on the road, bikewise, by 9.  if you are coming from a-far, we’re gunna meet at poolesville high school.  its easy to find.  google it, lazy pants.
