mel and i are fixated on making ribbon candy. its rather archaic, which adds to the appeal. there seem to be only 3 recipes on making it, which adds to misery…er mystery. recipes have helpful hints like: you will need to develop blisters to work with ribbon candy, and no matter what, you will fail. good times! we havn’t given up though, and recently purchased a slab of marble to better work it.
